Guppy HB Blue | Male & Female

 The HB Blue Guppy, also known as the Half Black Blue Guppy, is a striking and popular variety of guppy fish, known for its unique coloration and patterns. 

Color: The HB Blue Guppy is characterized by its distinctive half-black (HB) coloration, where the rear half of its body is a solid, deep black, while the front half is a vibrant blue. This stark contrast creates a visually appealing and dramatic look.

Pattern: The transition between the black and blue sections is smooth, enhancing the fish's overall aesthetic. The fins, particularly the tail and dorsal fin, are often blue and may have additional patterns or highlights that complement the body color.

Size: HB Blue Guppies typically grow to about 1.5-2.5 inches (3.5-6 cm) in length. Males are generally smaller and more slender than females.

Fins: Males have larger and more elaborate fins compared to females. The fins often display the same vibrant blue coloration, adding to the fish's beauty.

Compatibility: They get along well with other small, peaceful fish. Ideal tank mates include other livebearers, tetras, rasboras, and small catfish. They should not be housed with aggressive or fin-nipping species.

Tank Size: A minimum tank size of 37 litres is recommended, but larger tanks are better for maintaining water quality and providing ample space for swimming.

Water Parameters: Guppies prefer a pH of 6.8-7.8, moderately hard water (10-20 dGH), and a temperature range of 74-82°F (23-28°C). Consistent water quality and regular maintenance are essential for their health.

Diet: Guppies are omnivorous and will accept a variety of foods, including high-quality flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods like brine shrimp and daphnia.
