The Carbon Rili is a variety of freshwater shrimp known for its unique and striking coloration. It is a selectively bred variant of the Neocaridina shrimp, closely related to the popular Red Cherry Shrimp.
Coloration: The Carbon Rili shrimp exhibits a mix of deep, dark hues, often black or very dark blue, combined with transparent or lighter-colored segments. This contrast gives it a striking appearance.
Size: Adult Carbon Rili shrimp typically reach a size of about 1 to 1.5 inches (2.5 to 3.8 cm).
Body Structure: Like other Neocaridina shrimp, they have a slender, elongated body with a curved back and long antennae.
Water Parameters: Ideal water conditions include a temperature range of 68-78°F (20-25°C), a pH of 6.5-7.5, and a hardness of 4-8 dGH.
Diet: Carbon Rili shrimp are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods, including algae, biofilm, specially formulated shrimp pellets, and blanched vegetables.
