Guppy Koi | Male & Female

Koi Guppy Fish are a striking and colorful variety of guppy that are highly sought after by aquarium enthusiasts for their vibrant patterns and graceful movement. These guppies are named for their resemblance to Koi fish, showcasing a mix of bright colors, including reds, oranges, blacks, and whites, often in intricate, mosaic-like patterns.

Male:

The male Koi Guppy is particularly admired for its vivid coloration and flamboyant finnage. Males are generally smaller than females, typically reaching about 1.5 to 2 inches in length. They have longer, flowing tails and dorsal fins, which they use to display their colors in courtship displays and territorial behavior. The males' bodies are slender and streamlined, with their colors more concentrated and intense, often featuring a bright orange or red body with contrasting black or white patterns. The caudal (tail) fin is often the most striking, sometimes featuring a sword-like extension.

Female:

The female Koi Guppy is slightly larger, usually growing up to 2.5 inches in length, and has a more robust, rounded body shape. While females are not as brightly colored as males, they still possess attractive patterns, though their colors are usually more subdued. The body of the female is often a light, silvery color with hints of orange or red, and they may have some faint markings or spots. Females have shorter fins compared to males, and their tail fin, while colorful, is more modest in size and shape.
