Color: The Flame Tetra boasts a striking coloration with shades of red and orange on its body, complemented by a silvery-white underside. The fins often have black edging, and the dorsal fin may have a hint of white.
Size: Flame Tetras typically grow to about 1.5 inches (3-4 cm) in length.
Shape: They have a somewhat elongated body with a distinct, slightly forked tail.
Natural Habitat: Flame Tetras are native to the coastal rivers of southeastern Brazil, particularly around Rio de Janeiro.
Environment: They thrive in slow-moving waters with dense vegetation and plenty of hiding spots.
Temperament: Flame Tetras are peaceful and sociable, making them excellent community fish. They are best kept in schools of at least six to display natural behaviors and reduce stress.
Compatibility: They get along well with other small, peaceful fish. Ideal tank mates include other tetras, rasboras, dwarf gouramis, and small catfish
Tank Size: A minimum tank size of 37 litres is recommended for a small school of Flame Tetras.
