Shrimp Golden Back | Single

 The Golden Back Shrimp is a striking variant of the Neocaridina davidi species, known for its bright yellow body and a distinctive golden stripe running along its back. These shrimp typically grow to about 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) in length and are highly sought after for their vibrant appearance and active nature.

Golden Back Shrimp are social and should be kept in groups of at least 10-20 individuals to encourage natural behavior. They are peaceful and can coexist with other non-aggressive tank mates, such as small fish, snails, or other shrimp species. Their vibrant coloration and active foraging make them a lively and attractive addition to any freshwater aquarium.

Substrate: Fine gravel or sand is preferred to allow the shrimp to forage comfortably.

Plants: Live plants such as Java moss, Anubias, and moss balls are beneficial as they provide hiding spots and surfaces for biofilm growth, which the shrimp feed on.

Filtration: A gentle filter is necessary to maintain water quality without creating strong currents that can stress the shrimp.
