Shrimp Cherry Red | Single

The Cherry Red Shrimp, also known as Neocaridina davidi, is a popular freshwater shrimp known for its vibrant red coloration. These shrimp are small, typically growing to about 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) in length. They are active and peaceful, making them a favorite among aquarium enthusiasts.

Cherry Red Shrimp are social creatures and should be kept in groups of at least 10-20 individuals to encourage natural behavior. They are peaceful and can be housed with other non-aggressive tank mates, such as small fish, snails, or other shrimp species.

Tank setup: well-planted tank enhances survival rates of the shrimp lets by providing ample hiding spots.

Gravel: Fine gravel or sand is ideal, as it allows the shrimp to forage.

Plants: Live plants like Java moss, Anubias, and moss balls provide hiding spots and surfaces for biofilm growth, which shrimp feed on.

Filtration: A gentle filter is essential to maintain water quality without creating strong currents that can stress the shrimp.

Tank Size: A minimum of  19 liters is recommended, although larger tanks are better for stability.
