Appearance: The Black Neon Tetra is named for the distinctive black stripe that runs horizontally along its body, from the tip of its snout to the base of its tail. Above this stripe, there's a contrasting iridescent white or silver stripe that shimmers under the aquarium lights. The body itself is slender and slightly transparent, with a subtle greenish hue.
