The albino variety is particularly striking, with a pale, creamy-white body and bright red or pink eyes, giving it an almost otherworldly look. At 2-3 inches, this young Bichir is an excellent introduction to the species, allowing it to adapt to its environment and develop alongside other tank inhabitants.

Appearance: The Albino Senegal Bichir stands out with its albino coloration, characterized by a light, almost translucent body and contrasting red or pink eyes. Its elongated, serpent-like body is covered in protective, bony scales, giving it a prehistoric appearance reminiscent of ancient aquatic creatures.

Growth Potential: Although currently 2-3 inches, the Albino Senegal can grow up to 12-14 inches in captivity. As it grows, it will require a larger tank and careful attention to its diet and environment.

Tank Size: A minimum tank size of  151 litres is recommended for this juvenile Bichir, with larger tanks being necessary as it grows to accommodate its size and swimming needs.

Diet: The Albino Senegal Bichir is a carnivorous species that thrives on a varied diet of live or frozen foods, including bloodworms, brine shrimp, and small fish. High-quality pellets designed for carnivorous fish can also be included in its diet.
